TikTok isn't just a social network — it's a full-fledged ecosystem for entertainment and earning money. People spend nearly 60 minutes a day on TikTok. By 2026, more than 1.5 billion people will be watching short videos, following trends, learning new things, and growing their businesses right here. That's why users don't want to put up with restrictions and blocks and are looking for ways to access TikTok.
In this article, we'll explain why and how access to the platform is restricted, and why the usual workarounds might not work. We'll also share the simplest and most effective ways to bypass TikTok blocks in 2026.
If TikTok isn't working or opens but the content is restricted, it means the block has been imposed by internet service providers, the government, or the social network's own security system.
At least eight countries have completely banned TikTok for their citizens. More than 10 other countries have imposed partial restrictions on access to the social media platform.
There are several reasons for this:
privacy violations;
censorship;
threats to national security;
age restrictions;
economic issues and competition from state-run social media platforms.
Sometimes TikTok imposes restrictions on its own for users in certain countries. For example, users in Russia can only view local content without interruption. Monetization, uploading new videos, live streams, and — especially — advertising are prohibited. In this case, both sides were responsible for the restrictions. Russia demanded that servers be located on its territory and that inappropriate content be removed, but TikTok was unable to comply and chose to stop serving users in Russia.
Blocking and restrictions take various forms. On the government's part, these include:
DNS blocking: removing TikTok's domain name from national registries;
IP blocking: using digital systems to restrict access to the app for specific IP addresses;
DPI-based blocking: deep analysis of data packets to restrict TikTok.
One of these methods or all of them may be used at once.
Account blocks are not uncommon on TikTok. Officially, you're allowed to have up to 6 profiles on a single device. The main requirement is that they be registered to different phone numbers or email addresses.
However, if one account is used for spamming or for unwanted content and ads containing elements prohibited on the platform, it will be blocked. Other profiles will also be banned if you try to circumvent the restrictions on the first one.
The security system identifies unwanted user profiles and links them based on a variety of parameters:
Device fingerprint. TikTok analyzes over 50 parameters: model, operating system and its version, installed extensions, screen resolution, etc.;
IP address. The security system identifies not only the IP address itself but also its history;
Device ID and Advertising ID: the device's unique identifiers. In this case, even if you use a foreign SIM card to register, access to TikTok's features will be blocked;
Behavioral patterns: typing speed, video preferences, content interaction patterns, session duration and frequency, and rapid switching between accounts.
TikTok imposes various restrictions for violations, ranging from a shadow ban or temporary suspension to blocking the device itself.
Even despite the blocks, users around the world continue to access TikTok. For example, in 2025, Russia ranked eighth among countries with the highest ad reach on the social network. This is despite the fact that restrictions for users were introduced as early as 2022. Consequently, there are ways to bypass the TikTok block. Let's take a look at the most effective and simplest ones.
The most popular way to bypass the TikTok block is a VPN (Virtual Private Network). You connect to IP addresses in other countries. The social network sees that you're accessing it from, say, the Netherlands, and grants you access to short videos and other features.
VPN apps or browser extensions can mask your traffic and IP address. When a request is made, regulatory authorities in a country where the social media platform is banned see only the path to the server.
The only downside is that your internet speed may slow down when using TikTok via a VPN.
These programs do not mask traffic from your device; instead, they trick DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) technology. When you try to open TikTok, the program splits the data packet into fragments, changes the address (HTTP), and replaces it with a request to some other service.
By the time the authorities figure out what's wrong, you'll have had time to relax while watching short videos and even run some ads.
Your IP address remains unchanged, which allows you to log into banking apps and other organizations' platforms at the same time.
In this case, you use a proxy server located in other countries. Requests from your device don't go directly to TikTok but to this server instead. From there, the server forwards the request to the social network and sends the response back to you. It's best to use mobile or residential (home) proxies, as they appear more natural to TikTok.
You don't have to set up a proxy solution for all websites and apps. You can configure the proxy only for the social network; the rest of your traffic will go directly from your IP address to the websites and apps.
Antidetect browsers are specialized solutions for creating multiple separate TikTok accounts with a unique device digital fingerprint. You can safely and anonymously create as many profiles as you want without fear of being banned. The social network's security system will assume that each profile belongs to a completely different person in a specific geographic location. And regulatory agencies won't see your activities at all.
The Vision browser uses digital fingerprints from real devices that haven't previously been flagged for violating the platform's rules. This increases the trust of anti-fraud systems. Additionally, Vision is constantly being improved for users who work solo or in teams. You can try out and evaluate all the features of our solution for free during the first four days after registration.
But an antidetect browser alone isn't enough to bypass TikTok's blocks. You need proxy solutions so that you access the social network from a different country each time. We partner with reliable and trusted providers who offer high-quality proxies.
TikTok is a popular social media platform that you shouldn't ignore in 2026. There are ways to bypass blocks. The simplest one is to use a VPN. And the most reliable and effective method — especially for scaling sales and advertising — is an antidetect browser with proxy solutions. Vision is an excellent tool to help you with this.
Is bypassing a TikTok block legal?
It depends on your country. In most regions, using a VPN or proxy for personal access is legal, but commercial activity through bypass tools may violate local regulations or TikTok's own terms of service. Check your local laws before scaling any activity.
Why does my VPN stop working on TikTok?
TikTok and many internet service providers actively block known VPN IP ranges. If your VPN suddenly stops working, the IP pool you're using has likely been flagged — switch providers, try mobile or residential proxies, or combine a VPN with an antidetect browser.
Can I run multiple TikTok accounts on one device?
Officially, TikTok allows up to six accounts per device, but they must be registered to different phone numbers and email addresses. For safer scaling — especially for advertising — use an antidetect browser with separate profiles and unique proxies for each account.
How long should I warm up a new TikTok profile?
Allow at least 3–5 days of organic activity — watching videos, liking posts, following creators — before posting or running ads. A clean device fingerprint, residential proxy, and human-like behavior dramatically reduce the chance of an early ban.
